indie e quello per l’illustrazione e l’advertising, dopo gli studi artistici ed un classico periodo di fame e privazioni, inizia a produrre posters per gli shows di band a quei tempi sconosciute comr
Animal Collective, Why? e Damien Jurado.
Influenzato dalla grafica delle album covers, ed in particolare dal lavoro fatto da
Jeff Kleinsmith alla Sub Pop negli anni novanta, ed anche dalle skateboard graphics, sviluppa uno stile sintetico e acuto, diventando presto un punto di riferimento per la scena musicale indipendente.
Nel 2003 dà vita allo studio
The Small Stakes, iniziando a produrre posters a tempo pieno. Tra i suoi clienti ci sono bands come
Wilco,
Nada Surf,
Feist,
Death Cab for Cutie,
Modest Mouse,
Beck,
Liars,
Spoon,
Built to Spill e poi ancora il
New York Times Magazine,
Random House Publishing, Wired Magazine.
Alcuni suoi lavori fanno parte della collezione permanente al
San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
Insomma, uno da ascoltare con gli occhi.
